Polish steelmaker Stalprodukt has submitted a binding offer for the Polish state-owned zinc-lead producer, Boleslaw, while rival bidder KGHM has withdrawn from the process.
The official due diligence process ended on January 31, which was also the deadline for the Polish treasury to receive a binding offer from the two potential buyers. As late as January 30, Polish copper miner KGHM was telling Metal Bulletin that it was still “in the process”.
